“Wellspring” is the second single from “Ochre (& the collected EPs)”, the upcoming Blood and Sun compilation featuring both old and new material, due for release on March 31, 2023.

The A-side consists of the “Ochre” EP – four new tracks recorded in rural America between 2020 and 2022. It was produced, mixed, and mastered by legendary American producer Bob Ferbrache. “The collected EPs” on side B include “The Confession”, previously available only on Brave Mysteries’ digital sampler “Communion of Saints”, as well as two sold-out releases: the 2016 split with Brittsommar and the “Cain's Orchard” EP from 2018.

This song is a homage to a great artist and magickal provocateur to a ‘diamond from the furnace of love’ who passed on to further reaches. Drums drive this song as mandocellos buzz around the rhythm-strummed acoustic guitar. At times, the string arrangement of Mr. Becker and Ms. MckJunkin reminds me of the “Ocean Rain” album by Echo & the Bunnymen. Sean Ragon of Cult of Youth belts out tempest-wielding invocations conjuring ‘gen-eration at the fount of life’!
